Hello Fall Nutrition Tips

Hello Fall!

This week marks the first week of fall! It's time to look forward to the leaves changing, brisk air, sweaters and jeans! As we move into fall there are a few nutrition tips to consider.

#1 Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water daily. It is easy to forget to drink enough water because you are not as hot, but your body still needs just as much water when it is cold.

 

#2 Eat less salad and more roated veggies, soups, and purees. Since the fall is cooling everything off salad ingredients are not locally fresh as they are not currently growing. So, make hot foods to help warm the body and make use of local produce.

 

 

 

 

 

 

#3 Eat what is in season. There are so many vegetables and fruits that are in season that you should take advantage of! Be sure to eat a variety of colors to get the full spectrum of nutrients.
